Business Game Changers Radio with Sarah Westall: Alan Wilensky: Trump Doesn’t Really Want to be President and How a Third Candidate Could End Up being PresidentThe 2016 election is shaping up to be the most polarized election in modern history. Clinton represents the establishment, while Trump represents an angry base that wants something different. Bernie Sanders represented the other side of the coin from Trump; an alternative for the angry and the disenfranchised on the democratic side. Now with just Clinton and Trump in the race, many are struggling to support either candidate.

Disenfranchised democrats have abandoned ship and have boosted donations to the Green Party’s candidate, Jill Stein, by over 1000%. In fact, Stein has reached 7% in some national polls. These are unheard of results for the Green Party and have boosted speculation that a third party may be in the future for our country.

On the other side of the spectrum, establishment republicans are jumping ship entirely and are shocking their base by throwing their support behind Hillary Clinton; for all practical purposes, the enemy in the eyes of the republican base.

The 2016 election is shaping up to be the most polarizing and bizarre election in modern history. If it wasn’t so important for the future of our country, it might actually be humorous and quite entertaining.

In this episode we bring back Alan Wilensky to discuss these issues. As the past assistant tax secretary, Alan is well versed on the ins and outs of Washington and isn’t shy about sharing his opinions. He gives his opinions on many issues including why he believes that Trump doesn’t really want to be president, how a third candidate could ultimately be president, and why the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) was crafted in secret from the public and the lobbyists.
