Seattle, Washington. April 27, 2006 -- Alternative Talk Radio KKNW 1150AM announces today that it’s popular host of “The Dr. Pat Show”, Dr. Pat Baccili, has won the prestigious 2005 International Crystal Award of Excellence for her interview “Healing Post 9/11 Workers: Detoxing in New York City”.
This honor is given by the Communicator Awards, an international competition that recognizes outstanding work in the communication field. Entries are judged by industry professionals who look for companies and individuals whose talent exceeds a high standard of excellence, and whose work serves as a benchmark for the industry. There were 1369 entries in the Communicator Awards 2005 Audio Competition.
The top winning interview was broadcast live on KKNW 1150AM-Seattle from a local fire house at Ground Zero in New York City. There Pat talked with fire fighters, police, and other service workers who labored around the clock during the months after the terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center on September 11, 2001. Many dedicated service workers put their own lives in jeopardy, ingesting harmful and toxic chemicals from the air in NYC though this traumatic time. In this poignant interview, workers tell their own stories and describe how their lives changed through participation in a detoxification program donated by Tom Cruise to assist them in regaining their health.
